Sift the flour into a warm bowl with the salt. then lightly rub in the lard. In another bowl, cream the yeast and sugar until liquid. Strain into flour mixture and make into a soft dough with the milk. Cover with a towel and leave in a warm place to rise (about 1 hour). Knead lightly, then form into 3-inch rounds. Brush with milk and dust with flour. Place on a greased and floured tin and leave in a warm place for 15 minutes, then bake in a hot oven f400°) for 15 to 20 minutes.
